so…if you can see the olson’s picture below, please, please, please disregard it…i was testing my tumblr account, and my attempts backfired when one of my posts suddenly worked. And of course, it was a picture of the olson twins. perfect.

el fin dia de studio.
si. es verdad. despues de hoy, no mas studio para mi :( tomorrow is our final studio review of the year, and after that, there will be no more work for me. Until August-ish, at least. And THEN, i will be oh-so-old. I’ll be a 20-year-old senior. Crazy. *sigh* well, aside from that sad, unfortunate bit of news, i must divulge that our final project is going just swimmingly. My group project...
been a while.
s’been a while. fo sho. Regardless of the length of time that has transpired between this, my most recent post, and my last post, I have been doing things. Life is so busy sometimes. It’s a crazy, crazy race, I feel. Why on earth is America so dead set on running 90 to nothing to get to the finish line. I can’t remember the last time I took a picnic…that’s a crazy...
gimme five
ok. so, the internship at the capital is complete. The last day of session was the 5th, and it was kinda sad…especially since I didn’t get to stay for the whole thing :( studio demanded my presence, so, my last day of work was cut pretty short. SO, as for the rest of my life, things are going pretty well…the big “greek goddess” competition was yesterday…i...

doing things.
well…the summer internship race has begun. I am not in the lead…but I’m somewhere in the pack. So that’s good. Other than that, the main things going on are intertwined with the fact that I’m experiencing what I’m going to describe as “Spring Break Withdrawals.” I feel like this condition is closely related to the very serious disease known as...
some fierce models.
these are my dozen or so odd models…i haven’t quite perfected it yet…so, expect another dozen on the way. The basic concept is that’s it’s a location device…aimed at helping people to know where their loved-ones are using a simple set of analog functions to avoid having to use cell phones all the time…there’s more to it than that, but i can explain...
oh studio.
so, the latest update on studio life is that I’ve decided to let the rest of my life crumble around me for the sake of the advancement of my project. Model = half-done…3D model = nonexistent. So, I’m going to go spend the rest of my money at Sam Flax and try to finish something. hej da. (kram/puss)

alright…so, work’s picking up in studio. Model’s due on monday, all the other stuff should trickle in over the rest of the week, and the presentation’s going-down on the 12th. So, my study model’s kind of awesome (pictures to follow) but I’m procrastinating on doing the actual thing. It’s been an intense week, but I think we’ll be able to pull it...

so…right now in studio, we’re all busy-busy-busy working on our current junior ID studio project. The new fantastically fun project is about communication; mostly interfamily communication. SO, I’m trying to come up with a brilliant idea to get myself recognized…and to ingratiate myself to my instructor :/ so far, eh…it’s ok. Some of the stuff I’ve done is...

Hi Lindsey! Thanks for your sweet e-mail. I really like to help you but these things take so much time and I am very busy. But you are welcome to give me a call so we can discuss it over the phone. If you have Skype we can talk there. You can add me. Ok? Best regards Thomas Bernstrand Hi Thomas! Thanks for replying to my email so quickly! I understand that you’re very busy in...
i wanna be friends with you.
[disclaimer: this was my first-ever contact with my mentor…and the following instances of contact were orchestrated over the course of several weeks, but i’ve kinda condensed them-ish] Hej Thomas- My name is Lindsey Sharp- I’m a 3rd year student in the Industrial Design program in the College of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve just...
en lite kaffe...
So, I’ve totally bought into the whole coffee culture thing over the past few years…I could never really get into it in high school- I couldn’t stand the taste of the stuff. However, if there is one thing that carried over from my freshman year in CFY, it would have to be an addiction to all things coffee. As I sit here typing this, sipping my nonfat caramel latte, I love the slight buzz it gives...
yay addiction.
So I’ve recently acknowledged my addiction to American Apparel. Jeez louise. American Apparel. How I love your comfy cotton clothing. I love everything about their stuff. Seriously. My favorites are usually found in the unisex section because my new fave thing is to tone down the conventional means of dressing “sexy” or to appear voluptuous or whatever. I find it much more intriguing to dress with...

oh so single.
Alright- not necessarily certain how I’m going to relate this topic back to design, but it’s kind of heavy on my mind right now, so here goes… So, I’ve recently broken-up with my boyfriend of two years…basically, the second I got back from Sweden. It’s weird how extreme life-experiences can show you what real contentedness is, and that, in turn, shows you how unhappy you were to start with. That...
i feel old...basically.
Well, my studio work ended up being pretty cool, surprisingly enough, and I feel like our review went quite well. We actually got to have our review in the sophomore studio space, which was awesome. ‘Why?’ you may ask…well, because this week was the culmination of their lamp project, naturally. We all still have really strong memories of our time spent on our lamp projects last year, and it was...
formz bites the dust...
Okej. Well, our studio work lately has kind of revolved around figuring out how to operate solidworks suddenly…this is due to the fact that Susie Boyden saw it unfit to teach us this program because FormZ was SO superior and solidworks was basically only useful when dimensioning parts. All lies. Susie- those were all lies. So, yeah. Now, we’re in a mad rush to learn this stuff, and though it’s...
